CASE STUDY
Soccer iQ Institute
Traditional schooling typically separates education from sports, with practice sessions and games usually happening after school or on weekends. Due to the substantial commitment of time and effort required, student-athletes may find it challenging to reach their full academic or athletic potential. Soccer iQ Institute addresses these issues by blending rigorous education with elite soccer training daily to help student-athletes succeed on and off the field.
Lezama Consulting USA launched a robust public relations campaign to spread awareness and educate the public about Soccer iQ Institute and its benefits. The PR campaign generated over 500,000 media impressions in just two months.
As one of the only schools in the world offering such a unique model, boosting confidence in the program was also critical.
In addition to spreading the word, our campaign strategy involved leveraging the years-long connection between a Soccer iQ coach and a U.S. women’s national soccer team player competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. We actively pitched local media, resulting in a live segment broadcast on NBC LA and another segment on KCAL/CBS LA, which Yahoo also republished. Additionally, we created and delivered a press release that achieved local coverage in the Event-News Enterprise publication. Finally, interviews have also been conducted and are expected to be released on the Black Entrepreneur Podcast and in the Los Angeles Sentinel. Our campaign was successful in delivering our client’s key brand messaging highlighting its education philosophy and the coaches’ experience training elite athletes.
We tracked Soccer iQ Institute’s website traffic and noted a direct correlation between the related news coverage and increased visitors. The most dramatic rise occurred on July 25th, the day of the KCAL/CBS LA interview, with an approximately 10x spike in website traffic.
