Case Study Corporate Social Responsibility

The Foundation of Hope and Innovation

The Foundation of Hope and Innovation, a non-profit organization supported by publicly-traded healthcare corporation The Oncology Institute (Ticker symbol: TOI).

The foundation funds initiatives to promote breast cancer preventive screening and mental health programs for cancer patients specifically for low-income populations through its partnerships with community health clinics such as Venice Family Clinic. In a period of four months the foundation made donations to Venice Family Clinic and organized a sneaker drive. Funds collected from the sneaker drive went to support the foundation’s programs. Juan Lezama generated over 1.2 million impressions generating media coverage for the foundation’s initiatives in  high-profile local media such as Spectrum News and KFI News. Such media coverage helped elevate the profile of the foundation and support for its programs.
