MEDIA

RELATIONS

Every brand, event, and launch has a story. We believe the key to securing media attention is telling your story in a way that is specifically relevant to your target audiences. A brand’s story shouldn’t just be informative; it also must inspire curiosity and action. While traditional media is essential, the impact of various social platforms and online personalities can’t be ignored. Our research and awareness of different media help ensure that your story is told in a genuinely compelling way to the target audience.

Thanks to the 24-hour news cycle and the growth of online outlets, there are now more opportunities to secure media coverage and be visible. However, it also means that competition is fierce, so you must act quickly if you want to capture the most attention. More consumers hearing about your product, project, or organization can help move the needle driving sales, increasing donations, program sign-ups, and brand favorability. As media insiders, Lezama Consulting USA has the knowledge and connections to effectively present your story to the right target audience.

Our seasoned PR experts develop “live-fire” training scenarios, rehearsing tough questions on camera and putting you through the paces for broadcast and online/print interviews as well as for public testimony or community/stakeholder meetings. We provide immediate video playback and analysis to sharpen your skills. We also conduct large-group sessions with breakouts to make sure all potential spokespeople get the “live-fire” experience and feedback they need.

MEDIA

TRAINING

The shortest path to a crisis or worsening a crisis is a bad interview. We’ll train you and your team to take control of any interview so, you drive the conversation, no matter how difficult the situation or experienced the journalist. When faced with the glare of the media spotlight, will you know what to say? Can you stay on message and bring balance to an interview with a skeptical, aggressive journalist?

Our seasoned PR experts develop “live-fire” training scenarios, rehearsing tough questions on camera and putting you through the paces for broadcast and online/print interviews as well as for public testimony or community/stakeholder meetings. We provide immediate video playback and analysis to sharpen your skills during a half- or full-day session. We also conduct large-group sessions with breakouts to make sure all potential spokespeople get the “live-fire” experience and feedback they need.

We have experience training corporate spokespeople as well as celebrities also serving in this capacity.

Service

SPOKESPERSON

Whenever possible, we recommend that clients serve as their own spokespeople. This helps communicate transparency and authenticity. However, there are some clients and circumstances that prefer to have our PR professionals to serve as spokespeople to communicate brand/corporate messaging. Sometimes clients ask us to serve as spokespeople because they require a (Spanish) language capability that they don’t have internally.

In some cases, it may be more effective to hire a celebrity to promote a product or a hired expert such as a chef, nutritionist. We help clients search, onboard and, train these new spokespeople.

EMPLOYEE

COMMUNICATIONS

In calm waters and rough seas alike, we help you communicate with all your internal audiences – from the board of directors to the night watchman.

Often times, organizations are so focused on external communications that they neglect to effectively communicate to their employees. Not having a smooth, two-way (employer to employee and employee to employer) communication system can become an obstacle to productivity, affect employee morale and can even be a ticking bomb waiting to explode.

In addition, in states like California, many industries such as hospitality, service, agriculture and construction have large diverse workforces. If your company is not communicating to all its employees in a way that is culturally relevant and in their own language your communications may be falling on deaf ears. Furthermore, a work environment that does not accurately acknowledge the strength of its diversity may not be working to its fullest potential.

CRISIS COMMUNICATIONS

REPUTATION MANAGEMENT

The biggest asset a company has is its brand. When a crisis erupts, a company’s brand suffers, resulting in companies losing millions, even billions of dollars, within hours. It often takes years before a company can recuperate. For example, when a video of a passenger dragged out of an airplane by police went viral on social media in 2017, the public reaction cost the airline almost 1 billion dollars off its market share value. When litigation occurs, many organizations exert public pressure to reach a desired resolution. Litigants in a case often make their cases in the court of public opinion in addition to making their case in a courtroom. A tarnished company reputation by mere speculation can drive a company to close its doors. We work with our clients to ensure that in a crisis, their side of the story is also told in the media, in the community, and online. We also have experience working with legal teams, helping ensure that we protect the company’s reputation while defending itself in litigation cases.

We also work with clients to monitor social media/online chatter about their brand, competitors and, about the current crisis situation. We also work to develop online/social media content to ensure that there is more balanced information about your company when someone searches your name, so at least your side of the story can also be found in an online search.

We also recommend clients to develop a crisis scenario plan to prepare in the event of a crisis. Each company knows what are some possible worst case scenario situations that can occur, we can help so that you are prepared whenever these undesired situations happen.
